Mom-Help

This week’s Homeschool Memoirs at Homeschool Blog Awards is about what we do when we need to clear our head or take a breather.

When I’m feeling stressed I usually grab a cup of coffee and take a few moments to read. Right now I am enjoying a new book, To Have and To Hold. It is excellent! Look for a review in the coming days!

I also enjoy stepping outside to do some birdwatching. We have planted a bird garden and put a feeding station in our sideyard, so we get lots of birds every day. This always relaxes me and the kids. We love spending time out there!

My Bible verse for stressful times is this one: Hebrews 12:3, “Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”

Comments

  1. “…you have not resisted to the point of shedding of blood in your striving against sin . . .”
The rest of that verse just popped out!
OH, your bird watchers are cute.

  2. Love the picture of the boys… to cute!

  3. I meant “too cute.” :>

  4. I agree, getting outdoors helps relieve stress for me, too. I can sometimes get in a good 10 minutes before my boys figure it out lol.

  5. Coffee is a great stress reliever.

PS. Thought that I’d let you know that when I clicked on your link at the Memoirs site it took me to your post about Homeschool rooms. I found your memoirs post in your archive.

  6. We love sitting and watching the birds, too. (and the squirrels and our little chipmunk) Great pictures, esp. of the bird watchers!
