Thank you so much for your prayers and expressions of concern. We are finally home from the hospital, after 5 long days.
Our little guy is still sick, but was deemed well enough to be released, praise the Lord! Immediately after being told he could leave this morning he proceeded to throw up two more times…at which point he was told, “Never mind, we want to keep you until after lunch to see what happens”.
He was so disappointed, especially because it meant that he couldn’t get his IV port removed. But we waited patiently, and although he had a terrible headache and was nauseated at lunch time he managed not to throw up and was allowed to leave. Yeah!
We still don’t have a diagnosis. The doctor is waiting on some test results for an auto-immune disorder, but we are still hopeful that it will be ruled a virus in the end. The doctor has indicated she believes it is a virus, but is leaving no stone unturned.
Please continue to pray, that all tests will come back negative. We’d also ask prayer for his recovery. He has been so sick, lost so much weight, sat in bed for so long that now he is very weak and tired. He is still fighting fever, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, as well as painful headaches.
He is so glad to be home, though! Coming home to all his brothers certainly lifted his spirits.
